Several countries have been successful in halting and reversing the AIDS epidemic through the combined efforts of all the countries in the world.
As a result of highly effective prevention strategies, we have now a sizeable number of patients accessing antiretroviral therapy through highly effective prevention strategies set by WHO from 2011 to 2015. Retaining them in treatment is the challenge. It is imperative that we all work together to increase awareness that PLHIV patients are entitled to free treatment and care in all government hospitals. The PLHIV community owes it to themselves not to stop ARV or opt for other modalities of treatment. It is either because PLHIV are mislead or have no money to take treatment that they are unwilling to take treatment. As they struggle to survive, poverty overpowers them!!!!!! Please join us in supporting every PLHIV in need. Our workplaces could display banners/posters/pamphlets displaying information about health care centers, as well as important phone numbers and addresses of NGOs that support people living with HIV.
